FAQs

Who is part of The Mainstay Collective?

The Mainstay Collective is an all-inclusive elopement collaboration between the following vendors:

When do you offer elopements?

We offer elopements seven days a week May through October.

Where can I learn more about pricing?

Our land collections start $3,300.00 and our sea collections start at $3,100.00. For specific pricing for each collection, please contact us for a consultation.

How many guests can I have at my elopement?

For ceremonies on The Captiva, there is a maximum of six people that can be onboard in addition to the necessary vendors. For celebrations at Cross Street Flower Farm and for our bespoke offering, we typically cap events at 20 guests although we’d love to chat about your vision in more detail.

Is your team available for larger weddings?

Yes, we are available for larger weddings and would love to talk about being a part of your vision.

Do you travel?

Absolutely! We love to travel and curate client weddings all over the USA and the rest of world.

Are you LGBTQIA+ friendly?

Without a doubt—yes!

Can we add on extra photography?

Yes, we are happy to add on additional time for photography. Just let us know!

Do you offer vow renewals?

We do offer vow renewals. All of our collections can be modified to accommodate vow renewals. All pricing and a la carte options apply to vow renewals as with our regular collections.

How far in advance should we book our elopement?

We don’t follow any hard-and-fast rules. Whether you’re looking to book a week from now (really!) or two years from now, we have the resources to create the perfect day. We just have to confirm vendor and venue availability.

Can our friend or family member officiate our ceremony?

Yes! Our base fee, which includes an officiant, will still apply but you’re more than welcome to invite an outside officiant.

Can we book members of your team outside of The Mainstay Collective?

Yes, each of our team members are available outside of The Mainstay Collective. However, by booking us together you will a) get a team of creative entrepreneurs and business owners who work brilliantly together and have the experience to provide you with everything that you need, and b) bundled pricing on our services

Are rehearsals included?

No, a rehearsal is not included. You may add a rehearsal to your collection for an additional fee of $300.00 for one hour.

What happens if the weather is uncooperative?

Since both of our locations are outdoors, we will put a raindate on the calendar at the time of booking. It will be within four days of the original date to ensure the quality of florals. Unless it is heavily storming and lightning, we will try to wait it out.

Will you take care of our marriage license, too?

Marriage licenses are legal documents–just like a passport or driver’s license–so you need to appear at your local government office and apply for a marriage license in person. You need a marriage license from the state in which you’re getting married–not from the state where you live. You need to obtain the license before the ceremony, and offices are generally only open Monday through Friday during regular business hours.

How do we add-on extras?

We have a menu of collection additions from our Collective partners which include hair + makeup, videography and catering. You’re also able to expand your collection offerings with added florals, rentals, photography coverage and albums and printed stationery. We can also help with additions for things like music, live-streaming, transportation, wardrobe, etc. Let our team know which details your are interested in, and we will make it happen!

Do you allow for customization?

Absolutely, we would love to discuss details with you and customize an experience specifically for you.

What’s the difference between an elopement, a pop-up, a destination and a micro-wedding?

Although there are subtle differences, most people use these three terms interchangeably. Technically, a destination wedding means one that is away from the couple’s home state. An elopement is usually less formal, from getting married at city hall to beautifully curated ceremonies like the ones we offer. Pop-up and micro-weddings refer to events that have a small guest list but still contain all the bells and whistles of a more substantial affair (e.g. seated guests, wedding parties, processionals, receptions, etc.)

We are interested in booking! What’s our first step?

Let’s chat! Wed’ love to discuss which collection and additions you are interested in booking. Together with your Elopement Concierge, we'll discuss available dates and introduce you to your vendor team. From there, you'll individually sign contracts and make payments.
